This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of Tribeline ("Tribeline", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, retains and protects personal information when you download, access or use the Tribeline mobile application and any related services (the "Service"), and describes the choices and rights you have. It applies to information we collect through the Service and when you contact us. It does not apply to third-party websites, services or apps, even if they are linked from or integrated with the Service, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
When you create an account and use the Service, you provide us with your email address and password (your password is processed and stored in hashed, encrypted form by our authentication provider and is never visible to us), your name, your username, your phone number, your date of birth, your US state of residence, an optional slogan or caption, your favorite teams and sports, and any profile details you choose to add. When you play, you provide your picks, bet slips, stakes in virtual coins and choices within the game. When you use social features, you provide the tribes you create, join, host or leave, invite codes you use, join requests, the messages, posts and picks you share in tribe feeds, and your interactions with other users. When you contact us, for example by text message through the "Send feedback or a message" option, we receive your phone number, the content of your message and any information you choose to include.
We automatically create and store records about your activity in the Service, including your virtual coin balance and its history, welcome and daily top-up grants, pick and slip results, points (XP), ranks, arena levels, streaks, weekly summaries, pack openings and pack prizes, tribe membership dates and weekly tribe progress, notification preferences, notifications sent to you, and the date and time of key actions such as sign-up, sign-in and settlement. When you allow push notifications, we store a device push token so that notifications can be delivered to your device. Our hosting and authentication providers also process technical information that is necessary to deliver the Service, such as IP address, device type, operating system version, app version, request timestamps and error logs, and your appearance setting and similar preferences may be stored on your device. We do not collect your precise geolocation, your contacts, your photos or camera, your microphone, your health data, or any payment or financial account information, and we do not use cookies or third-party advertising identifiers in the app.
We use personal information to create, authenticate and secure your account; to confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years old; to operate the game, including recording picks, settling slips, granting and adjusting virtual coins, calculating points, ranks, arenas, streaks and pack rewards, and showing stats and leaderboards; to run tribes, feeds, join requests, weekly goals and battles; to display your public profile to other users; to send you push notifications you have allowed, and service messages about your account; to respond to your feedback, questions and support requests; to personalize content such as favorite teams and suggested games; to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service and develop new features; to detect, investigate and prevent fraud, cheating, multiple accounts, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms of Service; and to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements and protect the rights, property and safety of Tribeline, our users and others. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and protecting a safe and enjoyable Service, your consent (for example for push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings or in the app), and compliance with legal obligations.
Other users of the Service can see your name, username, slogan, avatar or initial, favorite teams, rank, arena, points and related stats, the tribes you belong to and your role in them, and the picks, posts and messages you share or that appear in a tribe feed. Hosts of tribes you ask to join can see your join request and profile. Your email address, phone number, date of birth, state of residence, password and push token are never shown to other users. Please think carefully before sharing anything in a tribe, because other members may see, remember or capture it.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, and we do not allow third parties to collect it through the app for advertising. We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions to operate the Service, currently including Supabase (database hosting, storage and authentication), Apple (app distribution and the Apple Push Notification service), OneSignal (delivering the push notifications you have allowed, using your device push token), PostHog (anonymous usage statistics, such as app opens and which screens are viewed, to keep the app working and improve it) and our messaging carrier when you text us; with sports and market data providers we request prices, odds and results from, to whom we do not send your personal information; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Tribeline, our users or the public, or to detect or prevent fraud, security or technical issues; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets or similar transaction, in which case the information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to this Policy; and with your consent or at your direction. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any lawful purpose.
We keep personal information for as long as your account exists and as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this Policy. When you delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete account, we delete your login, your profile and the records linked to your account, such as picks, slips, wallet and pack history, notifications and tribe memberships, generally immediately and in any case within thirty (30) days, except where we must keep certain information for longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements, and except for residual copies in backups, which are overwritten in the normal course. Content you shared with others, such as messages in a tribe feed, may remain visible to them in de-identified form, and if you host a tribe, hosting is passed to another member.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (TLS) between the app and our servers, hashed passwords, access controls and secure credential storage in your device's keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for letting us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
You can review and update your name, username, slogan, email, phone number and region at any time in Settings > Edit profile, change your password in Settings > Account > Change password, manage push notifications in Settings > Notifications or your device settings, and delete your account and associated data at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, to receive a portable copy of it, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising and profiling (which we do not engage in), and to appeal a decision we make about your request. You can exercise these rights through the in-app options above or by contacting us through Settings > Help & Legal > Send feedback or a message. We will verify your request using information associated with your account, respond within forty-five (45) days or any other period required by law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may require proof of the agent's authority.
The Service is intended only for adults aged eighteen (18) or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under eighteen, we will delete the account and the information. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us.
We and our service providers are located in and process information in the United States and may process it in other countries. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps designed to ensure it remains protected as described in this Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Your continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Policy. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of Tribeline ("Tribeline", "we", "us" or "our") and govern your access to and use of the Tribeline mobile application, together with all of its features, content, game modes, tribes, feeds, virtual items, notifications, updates and any related websites or services we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing or using the Service, by creating an account, or by tapping any button indicating acceptance, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to every part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of any other person or entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of legal majority in your place of residence if that age is higher, and fully able to enter into a binding contract in order to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account you represent and warrant that all registration information you submit, including your name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth and state of residence, is truthful, accurate and complete, that you will keep it accurate and up to date, that you have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service, and that your use of the Service does not violate any law or regulation that applies to you. We may ask you at any time to confirm your eligibility, and we may suspend or close any account if we reasonably believe the account holder does not meet these requirements. You may hold only one account, and accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, transferred or assigned to anyone else.
Tribeline is a free-to-play sports prediction game provided solely for entertainment purposes. You make picks on the outcome of real sporting events and on the statistical performance of real teams and players using virtual coins that have no monetary value, at prices that reflect the chance of each outcome, and you earn points, ranks, arena levels, packs, boosts and other in-game rewards for correct picks and profitable cash outs. The Service is not a sportsbook, casino, bookmaker, gambling operator, daily fantasy sports contest, sweepstakes, lottery, contest of skill for prizes, exchange or prediction market, and it does not place orders on, trade on or give you access to any exchange or prediction market. No real money or other consideration is ever required to play, and no real money, cash equivalent, prize or other item of real-world value is ever wagered, deposited, staked, won, paid out or awarded through the Service. Prices, chances, odds, lines, projections, statistics, scores, schedules and other sports information are displayed for entertainment only, are obtained from third-party sources, may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, may differ from the prices offered by any real-money exchange, prediction market or operator, and do not constitute betting, gambling, investment, financial or any other kind of advice. Success in Tribeline does not imply or predict future success at real-money betting of any kind.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for choosing a strong password, and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it. You agree to notify us promptly through the contact options in the app if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials. We may refuse a username, require you to change one, or reclaim one for any reason, including where it impersonates another person, infringes the rights of others, or is offensive or misleading.
The Service includes virtual coins, points (XP), ranks, arena levels, streaks, packs, pack prizes, badges and other virtual items, balances and progress (collectively, "Virtual Items"). Virtual Items have no monetary value, are not property, are not legal tender or currency, do not represent a balance of real money or a credit of any kind, and are not redeemable or exchangeable for money, goods, services, gift cards, merchandise or anything else of value, whether from us or from any third party, inside or outside the Service. Virtual Items cannot be purchased, sold, gifted, traded, transferred, lent, pledged, withdrawn or cashed out, and any attempt to do so is a breach of these Terms and is void. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to use Virtual Items solely within the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. You acknowledge that you have no ownership or other property interest in any Virtual Item or in your account, and that we may at any time, with or without notice and without liability to you, manage, regulate, control, modify, rebalance, reset, limit, expire or remove Virtual Items, welcome amounts, daily top-ups, payout calculations, pack contents, reward rates, arena thresholds and any other game mechanic, including to correct errors, address abuse or keep the game fair and enjoyable. All Virtual Items and progress are permanently lost when your account is deleted, suspended or terminated, or when the Service is discontinued, and you will not receive any refund, compensation or substitute.
Picks are priced using market data, and graded using results and statistics, supplied by third-party providers, including public prediction market data. When you place a pick, its price is checked against the current market price and the pick may be refused if the price has moved. Cashing out an open pick early sells it for virtual coins at the price we show at that moment, which may be more or less than your stake; boosts and other rewards add only the virtual coins described in the app. We may delay, void, cancel, regrade, correct or re-settle any pick, slip or result, in whole or in part, and adjust any Virtual Item balance accordingly, where an event is postponed, suspended, abandoned, relocated or materially changed, where a price, line, odds value, player status or result was displayed or recorded in error, where data was delayed or incorrect, where a technical malfunction occurred, or where we suspect manipulation, abuse or a breach of these Terms. Our records of picks, slips and balances are final and conclusive.
The Service lets you create, join, host and leave tribes, post messages, share picks, choose names, slogans, profile details and images, and otherwise submit content (collectively, "User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and for your interactions with other users. You must not post User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, spam or advertising, that promotes real-money gambling services or the sale of accounts or Virtual Items, that reveals another person's private information, or that infringes any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other right of any person. Tribe hosts may admit, decline and remove members and manage tribe settings within the tools we provide, and we are not responsible for how hosts or members use those tools. You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, display, distribute and otherwise use your User Content in connection with operating, providing, improving and promoting the Service, for as long as the content remains on the Service and for a reasonable period afterwards for backup, legal and safety purposes. We do not pre-screen User Content, but we may review, refuse, remove or restrict any User Content, and suspend or terminate any account, at any time and for any reason, including if we believe it violates these Terms.
You agree not to use bots, scripts, automated tools, scrapers or emulators; create or operate multiple accounts; collude with others or manipulate rankings, tribe goals, battles or leaderboards; exploit bugs, errors or design flaws instead of reporting them; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the Service; interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its servers or networks; circumvent any security, rate limit or access control; access data or accounts that are not yours; impersonate any person; use the Service for any commercial purpose; or use the Service in any way that is unlawful or harmful to us, our users or any third party. We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate in response to suspected prohibited conduct, including resetting or removing Virtual Items, voiding picks, and suspending or terminating accounts, without notice or liability.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, sounds, animations and the arrangement of all of the above, and all related intellectual property rights, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Except for the limited license to use the Service set out in these Terms, no rights are granted to you. Team names, league names, logos, player names, likenesses, images, video clips, statistics, odds and other sports-related content belong to their respective owners, are used for identification and informational purposes, and their appearance in the Service does not mean that Tribeline is affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any league, team, player, data provider or rights holder. If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
The Service relies on third-party services, including hosting, authentication, push notification, sports data, market data and app store providers, and may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for any third-party service, content or practice. If you downloaded the Service from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple, that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the Service, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.
We may change, update, add or remove any part of the Service, including features, sports, game modes and Virtual Items, and may suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part, at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice and without liability to you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or delete your account, at any time and for any reason, including any actual or suspected breach of these Terms. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including those on Virtual Items, User Content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes, survive any termination.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE, ALL VIRTUAL ITEMS AND ALL CONTENT, ODDS, STATISTICS AND RESULTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT DATA OR VIRTUAL ITEMS WILL NOT BE LOST, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION SHOWN IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL TRIBELINE OR ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, VIRTUAL ITEMS OR PROGRESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Tribeline and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, service providers, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your User Content, your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us through the contact options in the app and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the United States and of the State in which the operator of Tribeline is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any such dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that State, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court where it qualifies. To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arose, and claims may be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective or representative proceeding.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any rules shown in the app, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them freely. We may revise these Terms at any time, and if a change is material we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means.
